Key Responsibilities -
- Develop, execute, and maintain test cases and plans based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing for web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using JIRA, Trello, or other bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to improve software quality.
- Verify bug fixes and validate deployments during release cycles.
- Provide feedback on UI/UX, performance, and overall user experience.
- Maintain detailed test documentation and contribute to improving QA processes.
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in an Agile development environment.
Technical Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in manual software testing, preferably for a SaaS or web-based application.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Expertise in functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing for web and mobile applications.
- Proficiency in bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms.
- Experience with test case design, execution, and defect reporting.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman.
- Understanding of cross-browser and responsive testing for web applications.
- Ability to create detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint cycles.
- Experience in UI/UX testing and providing usability feedback.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential risks and edge cases.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to think like an end user.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to work closely with developers and product teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with evolving priorities.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to take initiative to improve processes.
Good to Have (Bonus Skills):
- Basic knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
- Familiarity with performance testing and load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing in DevOps environments.
- Understanding of mobile app testing for iOS and Android.
