Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
  • Handle Client Escalations and Queries
  • Client Onboarding and Books Cleanup
  • Develop a system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Balancing subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
  • Maintaining the general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
  • Balancing the general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements; filing reports and advising management on needed actions.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in accounting or business administration. Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles and US laws and compliance.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping software.
  • 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business-services environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks, Zoho Books etc.
  • Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
